Can I still operate the door in the event of a power failure?
In the event of a power failure, the door can be opened and closed from the inside using the manual release mechanism. If your garage door is the only access into your garage, and you don’t have a pedestrian door we always suggest adding an external manual release. This allows you to access the garage from the outside in the event of a power failure.
I have a bedroom above my garage, is an Insulated roller the better option?
An Insulated garage door is always a better option, especially when you have a bedroom above or rooms next to your garage. They are great for thermal efficiency and keeping the cold out, and the heat in.
What is the thickness of the laths on an Insulated roller door?
We supply and install mainly 77mm laths. These offer a 16-18mm insulation thickness. We can supply and install a 55mm lath, known as a Compact Roller garage door but the insulation is not as thick, at 6-8mm.
How much headroom is needed for a roller Insulated garage door?
if you would like to fit up and behind the lintel of your garage to maximise your opening then a gap of 300mm is required.
